Godshow misses the point
Like most of my species, I'm a pantheist. (As the calypsonian The Mighty Shadow once sang "I believe in the stars and the dark night/I believe in the sun and the daylight/I believe in the little children/I believe in life and its problems".) So I'm with the housemate on the issue of Godshow, priest/podcaster Fr. Roderick Vonhogen's answer to Adam Curry's much criticised PodShow. Here's the comment the housemate left on AC's web site earlier this afternoon:

If Godshow isn't an April Fool's prank--and I don't think it is--then I'm deeply disappointed in Fr. Roderick. I'm not Catholic or "religious" in the conventional sense, but I do listen to his podcasts and have in fact been impressed with the way he engages the world. Godshow's aim of ghettoizing religious podcasts in order to keep them away from the so-called taint of podcasts like Dawn and DrewYeast Radio does not seem to me to be a solution. Jesus consorted with lepers and prostitutes, didn't he? If the devout are to save the world, I think they should at least keep abreast of what's in it, no?(Update: Godshow was a prank!)
